PERIYAR 142 : Why.. Thanthai.. PERIYAR?

I am Joy PunniaRaj. My Amma asked me to talk about Thanthai Periyar E.V.Ramasamy on his Birthday, September 17th.
I asked Amma, What is the meaning of Thanthai. She replied ‘Appa’. Appa? No way. PunniaRaj is my Appa.
She replied, “Yes, he is Appa for you only. But E.V.Ramasamy is Appa for all people in the whole world.
I was wondering How?
Amma explained, “Of course, every father works hard to bring more success in their own children’s life.
But Thanthai Periyar dedicated his whole life to enlighten the life of all people, especially girls like me with Self Respect, Self discipline and Education.
Oh now. I understood, why should I call him “Thanthai”.
Then I asked Amma, “What is the meaning of Periyar?”. She replied me, It means Greatest Man”.
Dr. Ambedkar Said,
A great man is different from eminent one is that he is ready to be the servant of the society.
Periyar served the society until 94 years old. He said everybody is equal and he abolished the nasty caste system in India.
My parents, and Athai Arivu Ponni are teaching about Periyar to me
I feel happy.
Like my own Thathaa, Periyar thatha is the well wisher of all Humanbeings.
So I thank him!
I Love him a lot .
I adore him.
He is bodily no more. But he lives through his ideology.
